On Tuesday, Cardi B reacted strongly after a photographer shouted questions about rumors of her potential pregnancy in Los Angeles. During a break in her civil assault trial at the Alhambra courthouse, the Grammy-winning rapper was approached by an unidentified man.
“Cardi, I’ve heard that Offset is bragging about your fourth pregnancy,” the man yelled out to her and a gathering of reporters. He even referenced family issues involving Stefon Diggs’ father.
Now, it was clear from the footage that she wasn’t pleased. She tossed a marker in his direction and responded, “Stop disrespecting me.” Her tone indicated she was not about to let that kind of questioning slide, saying, “Don’t underestimate me.”
The man persisted, even laughingly suggesting that he still cared for her amidst the chaos. Cardi, who hails from the Bronx, looked back at him, challenging his audacity. “Would a woman even ask me that?” she questioned. “Why do you think it’s okay to pose such a question as a man? Some manners might have been nice—all moms teach respect.”
After this heated exchange, she rolled up her car window and made it clear she wouldn’t be answering any more questions as fans gathered around. She later mentioned, “I wasn’t joking. They were quite bold.”
Earlier that day, a jury reached a verdict in her civil trial, finding her not liable in a $24 million lawsuit filed by former security guard Emmani Ellis, who accused her of assault during an incident back in 2018.
Ellis claimed the rapper attacked her physically, alleging that Cardi B scratched and spat at her while using racial slurs. Cardi firmly denied the accusations, stating that it was merely a verbal argument.
