Carlos Alcaraz attacked by bees in wild scene at Indian Wells

Star tennis player Carlos Alcaraz was attacked by a wasp in a surreal scene at Indian Wells.

Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev were tied 1-1 in the first set of the BNP Paribas Open quarterfinals when the attack occurred.

Suddenly, Alcaraz was swarmed in line to serve and had to run off the court to avoid the bees.

“What’s going on here?” one Tennis Channel announcer asked when the referee said the match was stopped because of bees.

Bees began to swarm not only around Alcaraz, but all over his court.
