Carson Beck’s Return to College Football
Much has shifted since Carson Beck last took the field for a college football game.
Standing on the turf after Miami’s thrilling 27-24 victory over Notre Dame on Sunday night, Beck was visibly emotional. “The last eight months have been really tough. I’m just so blessed to be here and to play again,” he shared in a post-game interview with ESPN’s Molly McGrath. “I love these guys. We pushed through when it mattered most, and it feels amazing. I’m really grateful.”
In a more candid moment, he expressed, “Oh, man, it’s been a hard eight months. Sorry. But I’m really thankful to have this chance to play here again.” The Miami quarterback was elated after leading his team in a key matchup against the sixth-ranked Fighting Irish.
“Everyone loves to compete,” he continued, “It’s a real family atmosphere… Sorry, I’m just feeling a lot right now. I appreciate everyone around me, and I’m grateful for the hard work we’ve put in.”
Previously, Beck had declared for the 2025 NFL Draft after suffering an elbow injury during the SEC Championship Game while playing for the Georgia Bulldogs. However, he decided against pursuing the NFL and retracted his draft commitment, choosing instead to transfer to the University of Miami to be closer to his girlfriend, Hannah Cabinder.
There are rumors suggesting Beck received around $30 million to join the Hurricanes.
Before his time at Miami, Beck had spent five years at Georgia, winning two national championships as a backup to Stetson Bennett.
In another incident, two university athletes had their luxury cars, a Lamborghini and a Mercedes, stolen, although they have since been recovered.
In a light-hearted moment, after her farewell, Hannah’s twin sister, Haley, didn’t hold back her feelings about Beck. It seems the Cabinder twins recently underwent cosmetic surgery, with Hannah appearing to navigate her relationship status while Beck settled into his new role at Miami.
