Miami was projected as Beck's favorite landing spot, and his commitment Friday solidified that move.

In Miami, he will join a football program that recently lost starter Cam Ward and an athletic program that already boasts girlfriend Hannah Cavinder, a guard on the Hurricanes' basketball team.

“It's a great day to be a Miami Hurricane.” Cavinder wrote to X on friday.

A great day at the end of an obvious whirlwind.

Mario Cristobal and the Canes have a huge hole at Ward's level, with their 2024 starter (NCAA Division I all-time touchdown pass leader) expected to be taken at or near the top of the upcoming NFL Draft. There is.

Ward is a special talent, and there is no player in the transfer portal who can bring everything he has to offer back to Miami's offense.

But in Beck, who has a career record of 23-3 as a starter with 7,912 yards and 58 touchdowns, the Hurricanes got a proven arm and a winner.

The 2025 season will be Beck's last year of eligibility.
