Carson Beck surpasses Shedeur Sanders as favorite

There’s a new favorite player to be selected high in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has surpassed Colorado’s Shedule Sanders as the top prospect by FanDuel Sportsbook’s oddsmakers to become No. 1 overall next April.

Over the past week, Beck has gone from +500 to +300 for the 2025 No. 1 pick, while Sanders has fallen from +100 at the open to +450 in a drama-filled week. Did.

Beck is in his second year with the Bulldogs, throwing for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions during the 2023 season, when Georgia went 13-1 and won the Orange Bowl.

Colorado, on the other hand, is far from a perfect candidate at +20,000.

Three more quarterbacks round out the top five on FanDuel’s odds board.

Texas’ Quinn Ewers is third at +1400, followed by Miami’s Cameron Ward (+1700) and Penn State’s Drew Allard (+1900).

Beck and Ewers are also the favorites to win next year’s Heisman Trophy, with the pair currently listed as +900 joint favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Oddsmakers say Sanders isn’t seen as a huge factor in the Heisman discussion right now, with DraftKings pegging him at +3,500.

Next year’s draft is shaping up to be a lot more top-tier crap than the one that just went through.
