Cartel Gunmen Paddle Bus Drivers in Mexican Beach Resort

Mexican cartel gunmen continue to operate with total impunity, terrorizing local populations and forcing them to do their bidding. In a recent example, gunmen paddled a group of bus drivers in the beach resort city of Acapulco and threatened them as a way to force them to perform guard duty.

The attack was recorded on cellphone video and shared on social media in Mexico, where armed groups believed to be affiliated with La Familia Michoacana were able to carry out their threats without fear of police action. Ta. The gunmen tortured the driver and threatened to start reporting on police movements in the area.

This video caused a lot of criticism. However, government officials do not acknowledge the issue. As Breitbart Texas reported, in recent years Acapulco has transformed from one of Mexico’s top tourist destinations to a region constantly rocked by cartel violence.

Guerrero state is run by Morena of Mexico’s ruling party and current governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda. Political opponents have harshly criticized the governor for turning a blind eye to cartel violence.
