Democratic strategist James Kerrville denounced Democrats on Thursday for focusing too much on city voters.
“I think it was time for Democrats to campaign hard in rural areas,” Kerrville said in an episode of “The Political War Room.” Emphasised by MediaIte.
“I don't know how the party ran away from that,” he added. “Some of its urbanist members and commentators lived in the stupidity of the world we could exist… election by focusing on large urban areas.”
Democrats are tackling recent losses in the 2024 election at the House, Senate and Presidential levels, and are trying to understand what they can do to win American votes in upcoming elections.
There was also confusion in the party about how to fight President Trump and his administration. There was particularly frustration after Senate Democrats voted to advance the Republican-raised funding bill despite fierce opposition from many of the party.
Kerrville welcomed Colorado Rep. Jason Crowe (D), and a Democratic strategist said the Centennial Democrats were “a kind of prototype of what modern Democrats should embrace.” Crows are members Centrist The new Democratic Union, and former Army Ranger.
