Carville to Anti-Trump Democratic Politicians: ‘Just Let It Go’

Democrat strategist James Kerrville said on Monday on MSNBC's “Beat” that Democrat politicians “do nothing” to oppose President Donald Trump.

Host Ali Melber said: “We're addressing a lot of concerns about the current agenda. We're seeing signs and protesters saying this isn't what people voted for. Even if they're anti-Trump voters, They are calling for a lot of things to say they are beyond the president's authority, are dangerous, or are attacking the federal government. What is going on here? What do you see?”

Carville said: “This is happening all over the country. The question is, how should Democrat politicians respond to this. And what I think they should do is, we are in the US countryside. What you're calling, playing a possum. Just let it go. Don't get in the way. Or, as we want to say, just don't stand there, do nothing. Grow this Let me. You don't have to enter before that. This freight train is running. Let's not get in the way. Then we have time.”

Melver said: “Elon Musk was not selected. He was in the last week of the campaign and they certainly didn't admit that he would become so many co-presidents, or maybe they didn't know. Isn't that becoming a potential vulnerability for the Trump White House?

Carville said: “Yeah, I think the slogan for 2026 will be a billionaire government. Is that really what you voted for?”

He added: Let me do that and let it go. This was all, and it kind of happened – everyone was like a downbeat, depressed, and it just happened quickly. I think it's almost positive that it's going to continue to happen. ”
