Cast of ‘Hamilton’ Performs Song to Support Michelle Obama’s ‘WhenWeAllVote’

Cast of rap-focused stage musical Hamilton The embarrassing song was released for the first time to promote Michelle Obama's WhenWeAllVote organization.

The song has cringe-inducing lyrics, including the assertion that America's future “will depend on women voting,” and encourages listeners to register and “make a plan” to go vote on Election Day. The video ends with the message, “Ham fans, please vote for what's right.” The final screen displays information about VoteRiders.org and Obama's WhenWeAllVote.org.

The cast bemoans voter integrity measures (“Are we going to purge voters?” “They're using their old tricks” / “We're going to change all of the voter ID requirements”) and support various pro-abortion ballot initiatives (“You say the law is destructive / I say it's reproductive…We've won every time our rights have been on the line / And we're electing representatives who will stick to it”).
Michelle Obama launched WhenWeAllVote in 2018 with $8 million in funding and has enlisted the support of many left-wing Hollywood elites and musicians to promote her events and initiatives.

Celebrities who have signed up for the registration campaign include Tom Hanks, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kerry Washington, Shonda Rhimes, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Megan Rapinoe, Stephen Curry, Janelle Monáe, Faith Hill, and countless others.

The organization's board of directors also includes alumni of Obama administration staffers such as Valerie Jarrett, Tina Tchen, Pete Rouse and Kyle Lierman, all of whom worked in the Obama administration.

When the national nonprofit first launched, country music superstars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, NBC All-Star Chris Paul and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Janelle Monáe served as co-chairs.

Since 2018, the events have been held primarily in Democratic strongholds around the country.
