Yesterday, the top-seeded team took on No. 9 Providence in the quarterfinals, showcasing a strong performance and securing an 85-72 victory.
“March is just a fantastic time for basketball. Winning the Big East Tournament is our aim,” said Bryce Hopkins following the win. “Providence was our first opponent, so this victory really mattered.”
In the semifinals today, they will compete against the No. 4 seed, Seton Hall. Notably, Seton Hall’s head coach, Shaheen Holloway, has recently earned the title of Big East Coach of the Year.
