Catholic Bishops Sue Trump for Cutting Migrant Welfare Funding

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) sued the Trump administration on Wednesday over a loss of federal funds to tens of millions of people for services for illegal immigration.

Catholic organizations have argued that millions of losses in US taxpayer dollars are a violation of the 1980 Refugee Act. Fox News It has been reported.

“For decades, the US government has chosen to acknowledge refugees and outsourced the legal responsibility to provide resettlement assistance to nonprofit organizations like the USCCB,” the lawsuit alleges. I'm doing it.

“But now, after refugees arrive and care for the USCCB, the government is trying to pull the rug from under the USCCB program by suspending funds,” the lawsuit adds.

The submission argues that Trump has no authority to suffocate any aid approved by Congress.

The USCCB is just one of many left-wing non-governmental groups who want to protect their funds due to the miscellaneous left causes. For example, the USCCB recently had to cancel refugee services after finding a $20 million payment promised by the Biden administration, which was temporarily suspended by the Trump administration.

The Trump administration quickly suspended a long payment list from the federal government's aid division of USAID for a 90-day review to determine what waste and legal spending are.

“Like all other agencies, this puts the meeting in a difficult situation. The meeting does not have the funds to continue operating the USCCB refugee services at the current level,” the USCCB said last week. Ta. “So we must inform local Catholic charities and other subcontractors that payments will be delayed until further notice, which will be a burden on them and those they serve, and will result in staff layoffs. It's connected.”

The USCCB claims that approximately 18% of the total annual influx of illegal immigrants have resettled in the US communities during the Biden administration.

Fundraising Freeze also affected the Jesuit Refugee Services (JRS) USA, and announced a “total labour halt” thanks to choking of federal funds.
