A Delaware Catholic school teacher has been charged with sending sexually explicit photos to a 14-year-old former student, police said.
Alanis Pinion, 24, an eighth-grade teacher at St. Mary Magdalene School in Wilmington, was arrested Thursday by New Castle County police.
Investigators found that Pinion frequently communicated with students via Snapchat and sent sexually explicit photos to one of them.

Police notified the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, which operates the school, and the diocese cooperated fully with the investigation.
Pinion is charged with one felony count of sexual solicitation of a child under the age of 18, one felony count of endangering the welfare of a child and one misdemeanor count of first-degree indecent conduct.
She was arraigned and taken to Baylor Correctional Facility for Women after failing to post $46,000 bail.
The Post has contacted St. Mary Magdalene School for comment.
