Cavinder twins tease ‘new chapter’ with WWE reveal

Hailey and Hannah Kavinder are exploring their next chapter in WWE.

The TikTok superstars — who left the Miami Hurricanes women’s basketball team this week after a memorable March Madness run — said they have a “very big future” with WWE, to which they’ve signed, when they appeared on Thursday’s “Today” show. Signed with NIL in December 2021.

“We love WWE. Their fan base, sports and fitness aspects fit well with Hannah and my brand and fit well with us,” said Haley.

Thursday’s appearance comes just days after Haley and Hannah confirmed they were ending their college basketball careers after one season with the Hurricanes.

The 22-year-old guard, who has more than 4 million followers on TikTok, moved from Fresno to Miami in April 2022 and reached the Elite 8 of this year’s NCAA Tournament, but fell behind the reigning champions, the LSU Tigers. Kicked out.

“The love and support we have received from the university and the city has been special. Thank you to our teammates and coaches for welcoming us into a family and allowing us to participate in a historic season. With that said, Hannah And I decided not to take five years and start a new chapter in my life.

“U will always be home and we will forever be proud to be Hurricanes.”

Since NCAA rule changes in 2021 allowing student-athletes to benefit from their names, images, and likenesses, the Cavinders have earned an estimated seven figures in NIL deals.

That same year, Haley and Hannah signed with WWE as part of the promotion’s “Next In Line” program, which “provides a clear path from college athletics to WWE.” ESPN reported at the time.

Some who complete the program may receive an “exclusive opportunity to be offered a WWE contract”.

Hannah teased further brand announcements on Thursday’s Today.

“We also have a lot of long-term deals, one with Cacktus AI and one with a media company that fits who we really are as a brand,” she said. According to On3.

“Sports, business, health and fitness. So we are very excited to announce them this week.”
