U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) says it has seized more than a dozen firearms, most of them AK-style guns, headed to Mexico to support transnational criminal organizations in recent weeks. .
The weapons were seized in 10 separate incidents at the Port of Nogales, Arizona, from February 19th to March 29th.

During that period, CBP agents seized 17 firearms, including 13 AK-style rifles and four pistols. CBP officers also seized approximately $50,000.
Most notably, one of the AK-style rifles was found taped to the migrant’s bare chest. A photo shared by CBP shows a rifle strapped to the migrant’s chest with black tape. The barrel chamber seems to be squeezed into the jeans.

Port Commissioner Michael W. Humphreys said other concealment methods included hiding the gun in the undercarriage or cooking equipment.
