Ludacris caused concern by drinking glacier water, and now Diplo has videoed himself doing the same thing. But we're not saying this is a “cool” new trend.
Ludacris appears to have sparked a new celebrity trend after filming himself drinking glacier water. Fans quickly flooded his social media pages, worried that the famous rapper had fallen ill after the daring move. Diplo shared a video of himself doing the exact same thing on Tuesday, captioning it with the words, “This glacier water is Ludacris,” in a clever reference to the rapper. This may have seemed like a joke until millions of fans watching turned it into the next big trend.

It's probably time for celebrities to stop glorifying videos of themselves drinking glaciers. Previously reported The glaciers may contain feces, which should be enough to actually deter anyone.
Ludacris dramatically exclaimed, “Oh my God” as he took a sip of water.
“Water tastes so good, like God made it. Well, because God made it,” the rapper wrote in the caption.
Ludacris acknowledged fears for his health after fans flooded his social media pages with concerned comments.

“For anyone asking what glacier water actually tasted like, I'm a very picky water person but I will say it was the best tasting water I've ever drunk in my life,” he said, assuring fans he was fine.
“And when I drank it, it felt as if every cell in my body was simultaneously hydrated and rejuvenated,” he said.
Diplo seems inspired, and it seems to me like this is a trend that might catch on.
His video showed him dipping a large cup into the glacier water and saying, “Oh, good boy, drink it up!”
“You guys are beautiful. You're literally crystal clear,” he captioned the video, adding that he “upgraded his gut flora by releasing ancient bacteria from a glacier.”
Clear water does not necessarily mean clean water.
Michael Loso, a geologist with the National Park Service (NPS) and one of the driving forces behind the 2012 study “Glacial Transport of Human Waste and Survival of Fecal Bacteria,” confirmed the fecal details to Outside magazine. “All the information we have indicates that feces and bacteria can survive indefinitely once buried in the ice,” he was quoted as saying.
The U.S. National Park Service (NPS) advises not drinking water from natural sources that has not been filtered or purified.
“While the water in streams, rivers and lakes may appear clean, it is full of bacteria, viruses and parasites that can cause waterborne diseases such as cryptosporidiosis and giardiasis,” the NPS warns. write.
For anyone still considering taking the glacial drink, maybe you should look into what giardiasis is, and let me know if you still feel the same way.
“Cleaning natural water bodies is essential,” the National Park Service says, and for good reason.(Related article: Transgender kids are the new fashion accessories for Hollywood's craziest moms)
Hopefully this is the last time, but it feels like Ludacris and Diplo have made drinking glacier water the “next big thing.”
