A man on parole with a lengthy criminal history has been detained and charged after a New York woman was shot to death, wrapped in a sleeping bag and found dumped outside with trash, police sources told The Post on Tuesday.
Chad Irish, 55, was questioned on Monday in connection with the death of 31-year-old Yazmin Williams and was charged with concealing a body, unlawful possession of a weapon and criminal intimidation, sources said.
He has not been charged with murder in connection with the brutal killing of the 31-year-old victim.
Eilish, who was on parole at the time for a Bronx robbery case, has 21 prior convictions, the source added.
This comes after dozens of angry locals surrounded a suspect on Monday when he was taken in for questioning by police over Williams’ death.
Williams’ body was found late Friday stuffed into a sleeping bag and dumped next to a pile of trash on East 27th Street in Manhattan.
Her death has been ruled a homicide after police confirmed Monday that she was shot in the head.
This is a developing story, check back for updates.
