The first crash came around 6am when it finished 20,000 users reported a halt, according to down detector. This issue was resolved again before spiked again around 10am and just before noon. It was supposed to be prime time despite countless NFL free agency contracts being unofficially announced.

“It's a cruel joke that Twitter is down during NFL free agency.” One user said. “Sup, thread?”
“They need to pause NFL free agency until Twitter is backed up.” Another user said. “This is like a snowless Christmas.”
Even those directly involved in free agency were lost without x.

“Our agents and teams are attacking us like, 'What are you guys doing?' ” said Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. “They follow this kind of thing just like us. So when X goes down, they work without a net here. They don't know where to find all these things.”
Fans were distraught without X's NFL news, but ESPN's Adam Schefter has played a role in most of the league's news breaks, but has assured fans that the ESPN app is at least providing live alerts during “SportsCenter.”
