Chapel Lawn Addresses Incident Involving Jude Law’s Daughter
Chapel Lawn has released a statement following an incident where a security guard reportedly upset Jude Law’s teenage daughter. The representative emphasized the singer’s commitment to high standards.
On Monday, the spokesperson mentioned, “Chappell holds his team to the highest standards.” It’s clear that the 28-year-old Grammy winner “does not tolerate any kind of offensive behavior toward her fans.”
The statement continued by clarifying that Mr. Chappell was unaware of any interaction that occurred between the girl and the third-party security team involved.
In a video, the singer explained that she hadn’t met with the mother and daughter during breakfast and hadn’t instructed anyone on her team to engage with them. Roan echoed this sentiment in an Instagram post over the weekend, reiterating that he had no knowledge of the incident.
In the same video, he pointed out the specifics of the situation, saying, “Today I’m only telling half the story. The security guard isn’t my personal security. I didn’t even see the woman or the child.” He also expressed that he had nothing against children and mentioned that 11-year-old Ada “didn’t deserve” what happened.
Reports indicate that Ada, while walking past the singer’s table, smiled at him but was then confronted by a notably aggressive security guard, which resulted in her feeling scared and crying. This incident was highlighted by Ada’s stepfather, who expressed concern over the reaction of the guard.
Ada’s mother, Katherine Harding, voiced her dissatisfaction with Roan through an Instagram video, following her husband’s criticisms. She raised the question of responsibility, remarking, “I think if you’re a celebrity, you have a duty to ensure that those representing you act appropriately.”
Mr. Harding, who adopted Ada with Roan in 2015, pondered whether the situation would have unfolded differently had Ada not been connected to the singer, noting that if this were the case, it would pose significant issues concerning representation.
Meanwhile, due to this incident, Lorne has been banned from a music event in Rio de Janeiro by Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere.
