In his season-ending comments Wednesday, Harbaugh said: said He will undergo ablation to treat his irregular heart rhythm “in the near future,” as well as hip replacement surgery.
Back in October, during the Chargers' win over the Denver Broncos, Harbaugh suffered an irregular heartbeat in the first quarter and went to the medical tent before returning to the locker room. While there, he had his pulse and electrocardiogram taken. He also received magnesium and IV fluids.
Let's say a prayer: #charger Head coach Jim Harbaugh said he will undergo heart surgery and hip replacement surgery this offseason.

Harbaugh returned to the sideline after an electrocardiogram showed his heart was returning to a normal pace.
After the Broncos game, the 61-year-old head coach said he has suffered from atrial flutter, a condition in which the heart beats faster than normal, for several years. Harbaugh had to see a cardiologist, wear a heart monitor for several weeks and take blood thinners.
