Charlamagne Critiques Media’s Handling of Clinton and Epstein

During an episode of The Breakfast Club on Tuesday, Charlamagne addressed the topic of former President Bill Clinton and his association with Jeffrey Epstein. He expressed his frustration over what he perceives as the “liberal media” neglecting to discuss this relationship.

“It’s interesting how the media operates,” he remarked. “Clinton even wrote a letter to Epstein on his birthday, and yet no one brings it up.” He added, “Look, it doesn’t matter who’s on the list. I’ve burned those bridges. This is about mutual accountability. Nobody on that list should be shielding pedophiles.”

Charlamagne’s remarks came after Donald Trump suggested that public interest should focus on Clinton and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers regarding Epstein’s sex trafficking case. Trump noted the media’s selective scrutiny when he made these comments while departing for Scotland on Friday.

“You should be talking about Larry Summers. Talk about some of his friends in finance,” Trump stated. “And Bill Clinton—he’s in this too.” He further accused Clinton of visiting Epstein’s private island, a claim Clinton denies. In his memoir titled “Citizens,” released in 2024, Clinton stated he had never been to the island.

Neither Clinton nor Summers, who served as Treasury Secretary under Clinton and later under Barack Obama, has been implicated in any wrongdoing associated with Epstein.

Charlamagne asserted that politics shouldn’t shield anyone involved in these discussions, despite pushback from his co-host, Morgan Wood. “Clinton isn’t the president anymore. But if scrutiny still exists, that’s something to consider,” she remarked.

As discussions continue around Trump’s relationship with Epstein, recent statements from Pam Bondy, the former Attorney General under Trump, indicated there was no known “client list” related to Epstein, adding further weight to the ongoing investigation.

Charlamagne concluded by emphasizing the media’s role in shaping public discourse around this issue, noting, “I really don’t care about party affiliations. The liberal media isn’t driving the narrative here.”
