Charlamagne tha God Criticizes 'The View' for Lack of Conservative Perspectives

Charlamagne Critiques the Bias of The View

Charlamagne, the host of Breakfast Club, has expressed both thanks and criticism towards Lara Trump for inviting him on the show View. He noted that, unlike conservatives, they seldom reach out to different viewpoints.

“Thank you, Lara Trump, for having me on ‘My Views’. I found our chat quite enjoyable,” he said. He added, “It’s absurd to have a platform and only engage with those who share your opinions; that’s meaningless.”

According to reports, executives from Disney and ABC have advised the hosts this year to tone down their critiques of Trump.

Despite this, the hosts of View continue to openly criticize Trump and Republicans in general. Insider sources suggest that company executives are growing weary of the show’s heavy focus on politics, feeling it strays from its origins as a talk show aimed at women. A recent meeting involving Disney CEO Bob Iger and ABC News president Armin Karamehmedovic has confirmed this shift. Host and executive producer Brian Teta has even urged them to steer discussions away from political topics.

Reportedly, Karamehmedovic indicated that he valued episodes featuring celebrity guests and encouraged a return to that style of coverage, according to one source.

Even though Iger and Karamehmedovic didn’t enforce sweeping changes, the idea puzzled the hosts. Ana Navarro remarked that their audience likely tunes in for political insights.

“This is what our viewers want. Does it sound wrong if we skip discussing politics?” Navarro reportedly said to the executives.
