Radio and television personality Charlaman “The God” said he plans to have Vice President Harris return to his radio show to speak about the concerns of black voters.
In an interview NewsNation's “Elizabeth Vargas Reports” Charmagne said he expects Harris to win in November, but that she “needs to answer everybody's questions.”
“She needs to answer questions from black people,” Charmagne said. “But I [Democratic convention]The excitement within the party is great, and I'm glad Democrats are excited, but I don't think we can win this election on Democratic excitement alone.
“And she knows that. That's why she's campaigning now, because she knows she has to go to all the battleground states and explain her position to the American people.”
Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), began campaigning in Georgia this week, hoping to retain support in the “peach state” following Biden's 2020 presidential election.
The vice president has faced criticism from Republicans for holding few press conferences since announcing her candidacy, and she will appear on CNN on Thursday in a joint interview with Walz, her first since the start of her campaign.
A poll released on Thursday showed Harris and former President Trump in a close race in seven battleground states, including Georgia.
The Vice President Extending the lead Among women and Hispanic voters, black women significantly favor Harris over Trump.
Charmagne also said Trump no longer wants to be in the race for the White House.
“He doesn't want to be there anymore. You can hear it in his voice. He's had enough of Donald Trump,” Charmagne said. “He doesn't want to be the Republican nominee anymore. He wants the Republicans to do to him what the Democrats did to Biden. He wants an end to his suffering. You can hear it in his voice.”
Charlaman added that the former president is “now just running to survive” to combat the post-traumatic stress he is experiencing following the assassination attempt in July.
“I don't think he's thinking about making America great again or making the country great again. Maybe he thought that in 2016, 2020, but now with all the criminal charges he's facing, you know, there was an assassination attempt on his life,” Charmagne said.
“And I think that anybody who's ever experienced trauma tries to keep themselves busy. And his busyness isn't just about staying busy to avoid dealing with the trauma. He's staying busy to avoid the possibility of going to prison.”
“So I just don't think he's capable of running a campaign or running the country. I think the Republican Party did themselves a huge disservice by putting a guy with so many problems at the top of their list of candidates. I really do,” he said.
