Charlie Kirk cautions about the 'extreme' inner circle of NYC candidate Zohran Mamdani.

The sons of Turning Point USA founders, Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump, voiced their concerns about New York City mayoral candidate Zoran Mamdani as progressive socialist candidates rise in the polls.

On Wednesday, Kirk appeared on “Fox and Friends” and described Mamdani’s team as a “Bolshevik type group,” suggesting a deliberate radical agenda similar to the revolutionary faction that overthrew the Russian government in 1917. He emphasized, “This is not part of the Democratic facility. They want to go even further than what Zohran Mamdani said.”

Failure to respond to this critique could lead to a significant shift within the Democrats, which Kirk termed a “Five Alarm Warning.”

A report from The New York Times mentioned that Mamdani’s inner circle comprises individuals advocating for progressive policies like free public transport and rent freezes. Much of this direction comes from a young advisor aligning with Mamdani’s democratic socialist ideals.

Kirk suggested that the team’s composition indicates the Democrats are ready to assert their progressive roots after being sidelined for years.

Meanwhile, recent voting data indicates that Mamdani might shake up the race against Republican Curtis Sliwa and Mayor Eric Adams, while former governor Andrew Cuomo is running as an independent.

Young conservatives are raising alarms that Mamdani’s claim of “free” services might be more than just a catchy slogan.

In a Siena University poll, it was reported that Mamdani held a 19-point lead over Cuomo, with 44% supporting him compared to Cuomo’s 25%. Sliwa and Adams trailed behind at 12% and 7%, respectively.

Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump criticized Mamdani’s recent anti-Trump campaign through the borough. Eric Trump highlighted the significance of New York City as a global business hub and opposed Mamdani’s stances that he believes would threaten capitalism.

Donald Trump Jr. warned that Mamdani’s proposals, particularly those taxing the wealthy, could push both individuals and businesses out of the city, leaving a gaping hole in the tax base. He expressed concern that if Mamdani won, the implications could be disastrous for New York City, comparable to failed experiments with communism and socialism elsewhere.

Fox News Digital attempted to reach Mamdani’s campaign for comments but did not receive a response before publication.
