Former President Donald Trump addressed Kirk’s passing in a post, describing him as a “great and legendary” figure who, he felt, had much to offer. Trump shared his sympathies for Kirk’s wife, Erica, and family, stating, “Charlie, we love you!”

At just 31 years old, Kirk was reported to be in critical condition after the shooting outside Utah Valley University in Orem, according to law enforcement.

Candice Cameron Bure shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, featuring an image of Kirk and emphasizing their love for him. Meanwhile, Aldean posted a black-and-white image, honoring Kirk with dates marking his life.

Other public figures reacted too. Savannah Chrisley shared her feelings of devastation on Instagram, encouraging her followers to pray. Kid Rock also expressed his sorrow, calling Kirk a “True Patriot” and asking for prayers.

Chris Pratt made comments on X, acknowledging Kirk’s death. Dean Kane expressed heartbreak and extended prayers for Kirk’s family, while Rob Schneider highlighted Kirk’s character and shared a biblical reference that resonates with the situation.

Videos from the event showed Kirk speaking to the audience before the chaos broke out, with attendees shouting to flee.

As of now, the suspect has not been identified or apprehended, according to a statement from Utah Valley University.
