Charlie Kirk’s Passing Inspires Renewed Demands for National Renewal

Reflections on a Tragic Loss

Welcome to this edition, where we delve into the recent tragedy involving Charlie Kirk and reflect on what steps we should take next.

A few months back, just before President Donald Trump assumed office, he cautioned us about entering a mental and emotional struggle unprecedented in our times. It was a moment for us to celebrate his victory and contemplate its significance for the future. Yet, he juxtaposed the experiences of his first term with the challenges posed by the current administration.

To put it simply, the emotional turmoil feels like it’s overturning everything. The murder of Charlie Kirk sent ripples of sorrow throughout. So, how do we move forward from here?

I’ve found myself traversing various stages of grief, but right now, I think I’ve landed somewhere where I feel driven to demand action. I desire the kind of revival that Charlie envisioned for our country.

Sure, I want my side to prevail politically, but there’s a more crucial struggle at play now: the very soul of our nation.

Charlie’s deepest hope was for the young people he engaged with on college campuses to find hope. He wanted them to understand that their lives mattered, and that their faith and family provided genuine purpose. He encouraged attending church, marrying, and having children. This, he believed, is the revival our nation desperately needs. I’ve often written about the importance of motherhood and family life. To me, being a mother is one of the most significant paths a woman can embrace.

Often, I hear criticisms from my feminist peers, questioning my choices and the lifestyle I seemingly advocate. But it’s not my intention to impose anything on anyone. My own journey truly began the moment our first daughter was placed into my arms. One child after another, they reignited my desire to create a better world.

This is something Charlie understood well. You didn’t have to be close to him to see how deeply he cherished his wife and children. Fatherhood gave him purpose and a foundation for building a promising future for them.

Now, it’s up to us to carry on Charlie’s mission by reaching out to the young and lost, sharing the truth and offering hope rather than despair.

We each have a role to play. That’s just the reality we face.

In our household, we’ve made the decision to keep cell phones away from our kids. Past newsletters have elaborated on our reasons. Even freshmen in high school aren’t allowed to have phones. My daughter occasionally borrows mine to chat with friends, and this brings us to their thoughts about Charlie Kirk and what they envision for the future.

She told a friend, “The ultimate goal in life is to get married, have children, and go to heaven.”

Here’s a straightforward student and an impressive athlete, declaring her aspirations for a well-ordered life. This is exactly what Charlie fought for. I truly hope such a life remains attainable in our country.

If I could ask just one thing, it would be to pray for the peace and soul of Charlie Kirk, his wife Erica, and their two children.

Recent Highlights:

Over $5 million has been raised to support Charlie Kirk’s family through a fund initiated by Daily Caller co-founders Tucker Carlson and Neil Patel. The intent was to alleviate any worries for Erika. They started the fund with a generous $1 million, with subsequent contributions coming from Charlie’s supporters. It’s a testament to the strong community backing.
