Charlize Theron hurt while doing stunts without a harness in the action movie ‘Apex’

Charlize Theron Recovering from Onset Injury

Charlize Theron has shared that she’s currently on the mend after sustaining an injury while filming her latest project, “Apex.” The Oscar-winning actress revealed that during the shoot, she experienced a painful setback after performing her stunts—despite being in protective gear.

“Our crew delivered an impressive film, and I really did some stunts—without a harness, at times,” Theron commented, adding a lighthearted plea, “Don’t tell Netflix.”

It’s worth noting that Theron expressed her sense of amazement at being alive after such intense stunt work. “It’s actually a miracle that I’m here today,” she noted, highlighting the risks associated with her physically demanding role.

Fresh off filming, she described the experience, saying, “We wrapped up about a week ago, and I still have Australian stains under this cute manicure. My adorable boots, though, are hiding my broken toes.” Despite the challenges, Theron feels positive about her recovery. “To be honest, filming ‘Apex’ was one of the most incredible experiences of my life,” she shared.

Theron continued, mentioning that she had not anticipated being able to top her previous performance in projects like “Old Guard 2.” She’s clearly proud to showcase the work she’s done in this latest film.

She’s also gearing up for another high-energy film alongside actor Taron Egerton, further demonstrating her commitment to her craft.

In addition to Theron’s injury news, it seems she’s not alone in facing on-set challenges. Recently, Jennifer Lopez also revealed that she suffered a facial injury during a rehearsal for the American Music Awards, leading to stitches.

Lopez took to social media to share a snapshot of her injury, captioned, “So this happened…” She later posted a follow-up selfie, indicating some recovery, with a lighthearted message about her experience with her plastic surgeon.

It’s unclear what exactly caused Lopez’s injury, but her fans are undoubtedly concerned and supportive as both stars navigate their recoveries.
