I’m all for protecting animals, but give me a break.
Michael Vick, a legend in both college football and the NFL, has pulled a Deion Sanders as he was hired by Norfolk State to be their head football coach. To a football fan like me, I find it pretty cool, but to an organization like animal rights group PETA, they just can’t let the past go. The organization brought up Vick’s criminal history and did so while giving him a brutal label.

In a statement sent to Fox News Digital, PETA President Ingrid Newkirk spoke about her own interaction with Vick in 2007 while he was being sentenced for illegal dog fighting.
“After interviewing him at PETA’s office in Norfolk, Virginia while his sentence was under consideration, and hearing him tell me bold-faced lies about his poor dogs, I came to believe that he’s a charming, charismatic psychopath, but since I believe he won’t fight dogs ever again, PETA is focusing on working with law enforcement to bust those who still do,” said Newkirk. I’m one of the biggest dog lovers out there, but this happened all the way back when I was in high school — I turned 34 today.
Let it go, PETA. Let it go.
