Chase Oliver, an openly gay man and former supporter of former President Barack Obama, has been selected as the Libertarian Party’s presidential nominee in the upcoming presidential election.
After hours of voting, Georgia Senate candidate Oliver advanced to the final round with only the “neither” option available.

Oliver was previously the Libertarian Party’s candidate for Georgia Senate in 2022, which resulted in a runoff election between Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Herschel Walker.

Both presumed Republican presidential nominees, former President Donald Trump and independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., dropped out and failed to make it through the voting process.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that as a Republican presidential candidate he “is not open to seeking the nomination of another party” and therefore “did not file papers for the Libertarian Party nomination.”
“Either way, I believe I can get a majority of the Libertarian vote,” Trump added. “Jr. Kennedy is a Radical Left Democrat who has destroyed everything he’s put his hands on, especially in New York and New England, especially when it comes to the cost and practicality of energy. He is not a Libertarian. Only a fool would vote for him!”
