Local surveillance footage captured nine masked suspects successfully breaking into a Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Waukesha around 6 a.m. on February 18th. The location is approximately 32 miles west of Milwaukee.
Waukesha authorities said the suspects entered the dealership, located where the car keys were kept, and activated the key fob to determine which car they were trying to steal. One of the suspects, 17-year-old Calvin Valentine, crashed a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Westminster valued at $73,998. Valentine claimed in an interview with investigators that he was picked up in the Chicago area on Sunday morning.
“The defendant stated that a friend gave him the keys and he got into a white SUV and crashed during a pursuit into West Allis. The defendant said he was just ‘acting like a kid,'” detectives said. stated in the complaint.

Valentine currently faces four criminal charges, including robbery and receiving stolen property. He currently remains in the Waukesha County Jail on $50,000 bail.
