Chicago-area teens break into Wisconsin car dealership, steal 9 cars valued at $583,000

Local surveillance footage captured nine masked suspects successfully breaking into a Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Waukesha around 6 a.m. on February 18th. The location is approximately 32 miles west of Milwaukee.

One of the suspects, 17-year-old Calvin Valentine, crashed a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Westminster valued at $73,998. Valentine claimed in an interview with investigators that he was picked up in the Chicago area on Sunday morning.

“The defendant stated that a friend gave him the keys and he got into a white SUV and crashed during a pursuit into West Allis. The defendant said he was just ‘acting like a kid,'” detectives said. stated in the complaint.

Valentine currently faces four criminal charges, including robbery and receiving stolen property. He currently remains in the Waukesha County Jail on $50,000 bail.
