Chicago police shared surveillance footage of the suspect killed by Officer Luis Huesca as he was driving home from work early Sunday morning.
A two-minute video released Monday night shows the suspect entering the convenience store on Saturday and walking on the sidewalk outside early Sunday morning.
Police described the suspect as armed and dangerous.
Huesca was driving home around 3 a.m. Sunday when he was shot multiple times near Gage Park.

Officers responded to the 3100 block of W. 56th St. to the sound of gunshots and found Officer Huesca outside his home with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died.
According to officials, FOX32 Chicago Huesca was shot nearly 20 times with what appeared to be a firearm equipped with a switch to turn it into an automatic weapon.

Huesca was still in uniform but covered by other clothing, which Police Superintendent Larry Snelling said is normal for off-duty officers.

Fox News Digital earlier reported that Huesca’s car was stolen during the incident and was found nearby a short time later, but police would not confirm whether the shooting was part of a carjacking.

Multiple sources also spoke to ABC. Chicago affiliates Huesca’s gun was also stolen. Chicago police were contacted by Fox News Digital but did not confirm this Monday night.

Snelling said Huesca worked for the Chicago Police Department for six years. He died just two days before his 31st birthday.
