Chiefs’ Andy Reid shares parenting advice after Patrick, Brittany Mahomes welcome 3rd child

They also have a 2-year-old son named Patrick Lavon III, nicknamed Bronze.

Mahomes, who is 3-under, told reporters Tuesday that he is happy with his family size “for now,” but Reid offered a different perspective in a conversation with the media.

“Yeah, I think he's doing well,” Reid said when asked how the veteran quarterback is handling fatherhood. “He came in as Patrick at 2 p.m., and now he’s Patrick at 3 p.m.”

But for Reed, a father of five, he believes the more the merrier.

“If you can do three, four or five is easy. That's what I told him,” Reid said with a smile. “I made three. I'll add two more. Let's talk.”

But Mahomes' focus right now is definitely on the playoffs.

“I think every year is special,” Mahomes said. “Obviously you want to win three in a row and make memories with the players and the community, but every year is special. And when I look back at the different Super Bowls that we've won, I think, It's a special moment and a special game that we had, and we're going to try to do the same this year. ”

The Chiefs enter Saturday's game well-rested after securing a bye as the No. 1 seed.
