Chiefs, Harrison Butker agree to richest deal ever given to kicker in NFL history: reports

The Kansas City Chiefs’ workhorse isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

The Chiefs and kicker Harrison Butker reportedly agreed to a four-year contract worth $25.6 million, the largest in NFL history, with $17.75 million guaranteed, also the largest amount for a kicker.

Butker is almost an automatic in the NFL, even though he plays in sub-freezing temperatures in Kansas City.

Over his seven-year career, he has made 89.1 percent of his field goals and 94.5 percent of his extra-point attempts, but last season was his best, making 38 of 38 PAT attempts and 33 of 35 field goals (a career-best 94.3 percent).

The controversial speech drew both praise and backlash, with even the university’s nuns saying his comments were “divisive” and “not representative of the university’s values.”
