Chiefs team up with Hallmark for Christmas movie set to release in 2024

The Kansas City Chiefs will be the subject of a new Hallmark movie, and of course there’ll be a love story woven into it.

No, this isn’t a dramatization of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s current love story, but “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” will revolve around the back-to-back Super Bowl champions.

Hallmark announced Tuesday that Tyler Hines and Hunter King will star in the film. King will play Alana Higman, a die-hard Chiefs fan seeking “Fan of the Year” honors.

Meanwhile, Hines stars as Derrick, a fan engagement director tasked with “evaluating how Alana and her family stack up against the other two finalists” for “Fan of the Year.”

Hines, who was attached to the Chiefs through Hallmark earlier this year, filmed a promotional playoff video with Kelsey’s mother, Donna Kelsey, as the Chiefs were trying to defend their Super Bowl title after beating the Philadelphia Eagles last season.

Filming on the movie, which is set to begin in July, will include scenes at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Chiefs.

“As a club, we pride ourselves on exploring new ways to grow our brand and connect with new audiences,” Chiefs president Mark Donovan said in a statement, via PEOPLE. “This partnership brings together two passionate fan bases and gives us the opportunity to showcase the energy and traditions of Chiefs Kingdom on one of the most-watched channels during the holiday season.”

Hallmark Chief Brand Officer Darren Abbott added, “We’re thrilled to give audiences a front-row seat to the community spirit, rich traditions and passionate fans that Kansas City represents, all wrapped up in Hallmark-style comfort and exhilaration.”
