Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Xavier Worthy has filed a lawsuit against his ex-fiance, Tia Jones. All her domestic violence claims are attempts to force him to “money, cars and other valuables.”
Worthy, 21, was arrested earlier this month on domestic abuse charges in Georgetown, Texas, and allegedly suffocated Jones.
Jones was later published with allegations that the Chiefs' first round draft pick attacked at least five times. She accused him of hitting her on the ground during one argument, slamming her onto the bed, and suffocating her during another attack.
“He knew the history of my abuse in past relationships,” Jones said.
She also posted photos of alleged abuse she suffered.
However, despite her claims, the prosecutor I declined A claim worthy of a crime after arrest.
But now, according to TMZ, Worthy says the woman's accusation is nothing more than a trick to force him to get money.
The player says she is the one who is cheating on him and he asks her to move out of his apartment. He claims he even offered to pay elsewhere to “return her to her feet” without him.
However, he claims that she was “enthussed and engaged in a series of abusive and urgent efforts.”
He also claims she “stolen or destroy more than $150,000. [his] Personal property and cash from his residence after he was arrested earlier this month.
Value says her actions have caused serious harm to his body and property, as well as his “reliability, truthfulness, reputation.”
He is suing her for $250,000 in damages.
All 17 regular season games for the Chiefs in 2024 started 13. The rookie emerged as a favorable target for quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who targeted him 98 times. When given the ball, the value was barely disappointing. He scored 59 catches and six touchdowns for 638 yards during the regular season.
In the postseason, he was targeted 21 times in three games, catching 19 passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns.
