Chilling 911 call shows NJ father's frantic cries after finding his wife murdered, with no suspect identified by police.

Authorities are continuing to search for the perpetrator involved in the murder of New Jersey psychotherapist Brooke Hanlon. Her husband, James “Connor” Hanlon, made a distressing 911 call after discovering his wife’s body last month.

On June 6, around 4:30 p.m., Connor found his 35-year-old wife unconscious on the floor of their Chester home. In a panic, he reached out for help, as reported by various news sources.

“I just found my wife. [inaudible] I need CPR, CPR instructions,” he pleaded with the 911 operator in a tape that has been released.

He also expressed urgency, saying, “I want you to come here. I want you to come right away,” while responding to a question about his own well-being with an emphatic, “No!”

“Oh, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god,” Connor was heard saying, clearly in distress.

The call lasted about 13 minutes, during which a dispatcher noted that the situation was considered a “suspicious death.” Initially, the incident was logged as a potential “cardiac or respiratory arrest” based on the computer-aided dispatch records.

During the exchange, responding units were informed that Connor claimed to have suffered a “large laceration to his chest,” according to dispatch audio.

Tragically, Brooke passed away at their home, located roughly 40 miles west of New York City, and her death has been ruled a homicide due to multiple stab wounds.

No arrests have been made so far, and no suspects have been named. Connor has not been charged with any crime or accused of wrongdoing in the investigation.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office stated that Connor is cooperating with law enforcement and has legal representation. It was noted that the couple met in college in Boston and had moved back to New Jersey in 2023.

They welcomed their first child in July of the previous year.

Currently, their child is staying with family while Connor was recently seen in Brighton, Massachusetts. Court records indicate that he has no prior criminal history.
