Chilling video shows woman violently grabbed and dragged into SUV at Arizona gas station, police say finding the apparent victim of the “assault and kidnapping” is “critically important” ”.
Video released Thursday shows a Nissan Rogue pulling up to a gas pump at a Circle K in Buckeye, and a woman getting out from the rear passenger side and attempting to flee.
The driver jumped out and gave chase, violently grabbing her by the neck and dragging her back to the car.
The driver appeared to have difficulty getting the woman back into the car, but quickly jumped out of the way without gas and sped off onto a nearby interstate.
Buckeye police released the video Thursday and said that while they still don’t know exactly what happened, the footage showed an “apparent assault and kidnapping” last Friday.
“That video is extremely concerning to us,” said Police Sgt.Tamera Skaggs told Fox 10 Phoenix.adding that there was a delay in finding good quality footage.
“We don’t know anything about these two people. We don’t know anything about whether they know each other, whether they’re dating together,” she said.
“The timing of this investigation is critical.
“Watching that video makes us worry about that woman. There are too many unknowns in this investigation. That video is all we have at this point,” Skaggs said. he added.
The sergeant said police had only received one call from a witness to the gruesome incident.
“The witnesses were very concerned and reported it as a possible kidnapping,” Skaggs said. AZ Family reported.
Police believe the SUV is a silver 2021 or 2023 Nissan Rogue.
“When I tried to zoom in on the vehicle from the Circle K video, I couldn’t clearly see the license plate,” Skaggs said. 12 news items were reported.
