Chris Cuomo, Dave Smith debate on Joe Rogan, ivermectin, Trump

Comedian and libertarian political commentator Dave Smith slammed former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo during a wide-ranging debate that covered lockdowns, ivermectin and the conviction of former President Donald Trump.

The two political commentators faced off in a debate hosted by Valuetainment founder Patrick Bett-David.

Governor Cuomo addressed his attack on Joe Rogan for using ivermectin, claiming he “doesn’t like what people have done” to the prolific podcaster.

Smith quickly retorted: “You did it. No, no, you did it.”

The audience laughed, and Cuomo responded, “No, no.”

When Smith fired back, Cuomo challenged her to “find the clip.”

You are being very dishonest right now.

Seconds later, a CNN video clip recorded during the pandemic was played in which Governor Cuomo was shown denounceing the use of ivermectin, followed shortly after by Governor Logan’s infamous admission that he had been taking the anti-parasitic drug, which was approved for human use in 1987.Saved a life And it has improved the well-being of billions of people.”

The clip shows Cuomo and Don Lemon while they were still working for CNN.

“The people who medicate and inject animals and horses, oh my God,” Lemon began.

Cuomo interjected, “And people are being told to do that! You know what we’re talking about, cancel culture? Ivermectin? Deworming? Really? … They need to be shamed. They need to be called out and shamed, brother.”

After the video clip was played, members of the audience booed Cuomo.

Smith slammed Cuomo, saying, “You’re being very dishonest right now.”

Smith asked Cuomo: “So, are you taking deworming medication now? Do you want to apologize for that?”

Last month, Cuomo Confessed He had long COVID-19, which may have been caused by the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine.

As previously reported by The Blaze News, Cuomo told Bet David about side effects from COVID-19 vaccines, “Do I believe now that there is data to support the fact that there are thousands of people who are having side effects and they’re not getting any attention, let alone treatment? Yes, I do. I blame the administration for that. I don’t blame myself for telling people what the administration was suggesting as best practices at the time.”

The News Nation anchor also admitted to taking ivermectin.

“Let me just say one more thing that’s going to resonate with a lot of you: I take ivermectin regularly, as you know. Ivermectin was demonized in the early days of COVID-19,” Governor Cuomo said. “That was wrong. We were given the wrong information about ivermectin. The real question is, ‘Why?'”

Cuomo continued, “Everybody’s going to say, ‘Joe Rogan was right.’ No, Joe Rogan said it. Yes, he was right. But that’s not the point. What’s important is that the entire clinical community knew that ivermectin didn’t hurt people. They knew, Patrick. I know they knew. How do I know that? Because I’m just talking to clinicians right now who were overwhelmed with COVID at the time. They didn’t say anything, they weren’t hiding anything. But ivermectin is cheap, nobody owns it, and it’s used in a variety of ways as an antibacterial, an antiviral, and has been for a long time.”

Smith recalled an appearance by CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta on “The Joe Rogan Experience” in October 2021. When pressed by Rogan, Dr. Gupta acknowledged that his CNN colleagues “should not have said” that he was taking horse deworming medication.

On several occasions, CNN personalities have accused Rogan of taking “horse deworming drugs.”

Collin Rugg, founder of the Top X social media platform, posted a video of the exchange with the caption, “Chris Cuomo explodes with rage at Joe Rogan for publicly voicing his support for ivermectin after he says, ‘I don’t like what people have done’.”

Smith called on Cuomo to apologize to Rogan.

Regarding Governor Cuomo’s change of stance on the use of ivermectin after attacking Logan for taking the drug, Smith told the former CNN anchor, “You slandered him. [Rogan] You literally said, “He’s taking horse dewormer. He should be ashamed of himself.” You begged your audience not to take it. [ivermectin]”

Smith rebuked Cuomo, asking, “Why won’t you apologize to Joe Rogan?”

The crowd also chanted in unison, demanding that Cuomo apologize to Rogan.

Smith, a member of the Libertarian Party’s Mises Caucus, also sharply criticized Cuomo, who has argued that his strict lockdowns during the pandemic were not totalitarian.

“When you wake up every morning and watch TV and the governor tells you what you can do today, if you can go to work, if you can hold your father’s funeral, if you can see your family, if you can go outside without a face covering, there’s only one word to describe it – totalitarian,” Smith said.

Smith criticized Cuomo and other legacy media outlets for falsely accusing Trump of colluding with Russia.

“Every day you mindlessly repeated the story of some vast conspiracy between Trump and Russia, and you led the entire country to believe that our election was stolen from us by a hostile foreign power,” Smith said.

“Russiagate” was “complete nonsense designed to undermine Donald Trump and prevent his policies from getting passed, and CNN covered it every day without question,” Smith said of the scam.

Smith and Cuomo agreed that Trump should not have been convicted of a felony in the hush money trial.

“This is a misdemeanor reduced to a felony. It’s ridiculous to call it 34 charges because those 34 are separate checks that were signed to pay back Cohen,” Cuomo argued. “This district attorney has no problem reducing serious felonies to misdemeanors. He’s done it 70 percent of the time.”

“This lawsuit should not be brought against anyone else,” he added, saying it was being filed “for the wrong reasons.”

Governor Cuomo said the conviction “strengthens my argument that everything that happens in America is corrupt” and called it a “tragedy.”

Saturday, Smith Tweeted Regarding the discussion:The response to last night’s debate with Mr. Cuomo was incredible. I know I speak for many people, and I’m glad so many of you thought what I said was a positive thing.”
