San Francisco 49ers Fans eager to see Christian McCaffrey make his 2024 debut will have to wait at least another week.
It will probably be even longer.

Shanahan also did not rule out the possibility of placing McCaffrey on injured reserve.

The 49ers head to Minnesota this weekend to take on Sam Darnold and the Vikings, who defeated them 28-6 in their season opener. New York Giants.
With McCaffrey sidelined last week, Jordan Mason shouldered the bulk of the workload in San Francisco's offensive backfield. The third-year running back is undrafted in 2022. Georgia Institute of Technologyhad 147 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries for the 49ers.
Mason is expected to shoulder the bulk of the workload in the running game again for the 49ers this weekend.
