Olivia Culpo is “taking the reins” in wedding planning, according to the model’s fiancé, 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey.
While discussing the couple’s upcoming wedding at the 2024 Super Bowl “Opening Night” celebration at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where the 49ers will face the Chiefs for the championship on Sunday, McCaffrey spoke about the importance of the couple’s wedding. He shared his insights about the day.
“She’s done a hell of a job,” McCaffrey gushed about Culpo on Monday, according to “Extra.”
“Right now, she’s definitely in the driver’s seat when it comes to weddings. I’ll give input if I need to, but obviously her style is incredible and she’s going to do what she wants.” It’s going really well because I love everything about being who I am. I have someone like her who not only supports me as I am, but also handles all of that. So I’m very grateful that she allows me to do whatever I want in the moment while she’s still working on her career.”
McCaffrey, who proposed to Culpo in April 2023 after dating for about four years, teased, “I’m sure a lot will happen soon.”
Culpo (31) and McCaffrey (27) celebrated their engagement Over the summer, extravagant parties were held in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum’s hometown of Rhode Island.
The model then traveled to Mexico for a bachelorette party in November.
Culpo and McCaffrey began dating in 2019, when he was still a member of the Panthers.
He was traded to the 49ers in October 2022 and is currently in his first full season in San Francisco.
Culpo was in the stands at Levi’s Stadium last month when the 49ers clinched a Super Bowl berth with a thrilling come-from-behind victory over the Lions in the NFC Championship.

Culpo plans to travel to Las Vegas to cheer on McCaffrey, who will be making his first Super Bowl appearance.

The former first-round pick also ruined his bride’s plans to pay for a suite at Allegiant Stadium after his mother, Lisa McCaffrey, revealed the price was too high, according to Extra. admitted.
“She tried to do that, but I’m not going to pay anyone to watch me play,” McCaffrey said. “She had to deny it. She tried to, but I’m not going to pay anyone to watch me play.”
