Christina Haak opened up about her breakup with her “volatile” ex Josh Hall while talking about her new reality series, “The Flip Off.”
HGTV Star told Entertainment Tonight Due to work commitments with her estranged husband, it was difficult to film a new program together.
“When someone feels insecure about you or doesn't want to see you win, it really puts a damper on everything,” argued Haak, who has reverted to her maiden name.
“I guess I didn't shine as much so as not to make him feel like a boner. But who would want to live like that?”
“To be honest, it wasn't fun,” she continued. “I didn't really enjoy filming with him, so to be honest, breaking up with him made everything so much easier and so much better.”
Haak filed for divorce in July after nearly three years of marriage. She has since accused her estranged husband of stealing money from her and her children amid a messy legal battle.
Hall left the series amidst her divorce, and Haak admitted that the show, which premieres in January 2025, “would have been difficult to film.”
The series also stars Hark's ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather El Moussa.
Mr Haak claimed Mr Hall had shown signs of “jealousy” over his relationship with Mr Tarek, with whom he had two children.
“Tarek and I have a unique dynamic, some might call it 'kindred spirit,'” she said, but she describes their relationship as “more like brothers.” ” is expressed.
Haak said he had told Tarek for “at least a year, probably 18 months” that he had a “bad relationship” with Hall.
“It was tough for her at first, but she bounced back very quickly,” Tarek said of Haak on Entertainment Tonight after the breakup.
“As you can see, her energy is back. She's happy. She's excited about life and doing well.”
