Chipotle recently faced backlash from its fans after announcing price hikes on its menu, causing once-avid diners to stop frequenting the restaurant.

The roughly 2% price increase drew criticism online from people who argued that eating at the chain's restaurants was a “waste” and was no longer “worth it.” Some users on Reddit said the increased costs made it worthless, while others vowed to spend their money at a competitor's restaurant instead.

The criticism comes in the wake of customer outcry over reportedly smaller portion sizes offered at Chipotle.
