Chuck Grassley Targets NGOs Who Raked in $9B Funneling Children into U.S.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is chasing after a non-governmental organization (NGO) whose administration of former President Joe Biden's administration has quickly poured hundreds of immigrant children into the United States.

Over half a million unaccompanied foreign children (UACs) were encountered at the tropical border under Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris, and were subsequently taken to HHS custody, resettling with American adult sponsors, most of whom were not biological parents.

The Biden administration's policy of quickly tracking the UAC into American communities has resulted in whistleblowers, and inspectors (IGs) report accusing HHS of losing contact with hundreds of thousands of children responsible for caring for them.

The NGO, which has contracted with HHS to resettle the UAC in the US, has received more than $9.3 billion in US taxpayer dollars, but has refused to cooperate with Grassley's investigation into the issue.

This week, Grassley wrote to 23 NGOs involved in the UAC program.

“[Last year]I sent an urgent investigation to two dozen organizations providing care or related services for unaccompanied children under HHS custody. Organizations within my review have received more than $9.3 billion in taxpayer funds from HHS, but have chosen not to fully address Congress. I will not accept any further delays while my child is at risk. [Emphasis added]

It is not acceptable for the recipient of taxpayer funds to refuse to provide information to Congress regarding the use of these funds. And it is unacceptable for these federally funded entities to refuse to answer questions designed to determine whether they protected their children. I am determined to protect the UAC under US custody and expose its fatal flaws through surveillance with the aim of ending child trafficking and other forms of exploitation. [Emphasis added]

The 23 NGOs are: New Leaf, Inc. ;Alba Care Services, Inc. ; Asset Protection & Security Services LP; BCFS Health and Human Services; Bethany Christian Services. Cayuga Center; Family Service Center. Cherokee Federation; Compass Connections; Efforts; General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. ;Global Refuge; Heartland Human Care; Holy Family Institute; Morrison Child & Family Services; National Youth Advocate Program, Inc. ; Rapid Deployment, Inc. ;Southwest key program. Sunny Green Children's Home. Providencia Group LLC; US Refugees and Immigration Committee. and VisionQuest National Ltd.

HHS secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Grassley that the agency will fully cooperate in investigating the UAC program under Biden.

Last month, President Donald Trump announcement Major reforms of the UAC program, including requesting fingerprints of adult sponsors, and requesting other adults at home, and requiring such adults to provide expired identification documents.
