Chuck Todd’s Podcasts This week with Todd Politico Jonathan Martin acknowledged that Democratic officials have been saying it “for years.” Year — Joe Biden is mentally unstable and unable to handle another term. They say Biden’s decline has been an “open secret” and a “smoldering debate.”
And now these “journalists” are telling this to the public.
Below is the transcript, with the emphasis being my faithful interpretation…
Jonathan Martin: Chuck, I’m just skeptical. [Biden’s] Until now [to drop out of the campaign]Even if he is terrible [NATO] Press conference [Thursday night]Democratic politicians have shown in the past few days that many of them simply do not have the courage of their convictions. They are not going to stand up and say in public what they have been telling people like us privately all this time. Year. this is do not have New story!
This is actually a new story, because in my searches on Google Machine, Jonathan Martin did not come up. years ago Democratic Party officials are concerned about Biden’s declining mental health.
So this is super new.
Chuck Todd: John, I’m not going to expose the ministers, but I had ministers. Two years ago- Understood, two A few years ago, I suddenly asked myself: “Do you really think he’ll be able to run again? like this” I said, “You have more contact than me,” and he said, “I don’t have much contact with him.” He was a fairly senior cabinet member, and this was two years ago. This is one of those classic open secrets, non-dialogues. Everybody knows the story, but everybody’s afraid to talk about it.
actually, everyone I found out about this news because, despite the same effort on the same Google machine, I was unable to find any reports from Chuck Todd informing the public of this extremely important news. I thought part of Todd’s job description was to report on important matters like cabinet members worrying about the sitting president’s mental breakdown.
James: Chuck, we actually had this conversation last year about non-conversations.
CT: I know that happened.
James: You used that word [“nonversation”].
CT: Yes, we have documented this, and look for people who want to say that the media is only as trustworthy as sources that don’t lie to us.
But, but, but you had sources telling you the truth about Biden’s mental decline and you didn’t tell us.
James: that’s right!
CT: And I always say there’s a certain thing in our job: the job of a journalist, for me the first job of a journalist is to observe, and sometimes the most important observation is what’s not happening versus what’s happening.
James: That’s right: a dog that isn’t barking.
But, but, but, you guys were the no-bark, no-report, no-journalism dogs. That’s what you guys were. You know that, right?
CT: That’s the point. How many times have you asked me, ‘When are you going to have Biden on the show?’ And I’ve said, ‘You answer that. I’ve never had Biden on the show.’ Meet the Press He was interviewed while in the basement of his home in June 2020. He hasn’t appeared on the Sunday show since then… he hasn’t appeared in years…
James: He’s been underground since 2020. For those of us who have spoken and reported on this, the idea that there was a massive media cover-up is laughable, because this was a simmering debate, it was written about, we were talking about it. But, yes, you’re right. It was Democratic leaders, much like Republican leaders, who prevented this from becoming a bigger debate.
Wait, how did Democratic leaders prevent this from becoming a further conversation when you both could have easily led this conversation with information that you admitted to hiding for “years”?
CT: Are you talking about the elites? Are you talking about the elites, John? The elites got together and said Biden shouldn’t be out.
James: What’s interesting is that, unlike Trump, the Democratic officials didn’t do this because their voters loved Joe Biden very much. They did it because, frankly, they didn’t want to be asked the next question, which was bound to be, “So, do you approve of the vice president?” They didn’t want to answer that question.
What’s interesting is that neither man says: These conversations were private and could not be reported publicly until now, but my source has given me permission to make them public.
In other words, they hid this shocking information “for years.” In their own words, not only did they know about it “for years” and hide it from the public, but they said nothing when their colleagues attacked anyone who broached the idea that Biden was undermined.

See Todd here He talks about the “right-wing noise machine” amplifying Biden’s gaffes, then follows up his discussion of Biden’s age issue by advising on how to fix public perception, just like Democratic activists do. Imagine if he had talked about senior cabinet members. Why didn’t he? Why did he hide that alarming information until it became important? Chuck, where is the journalism?
Less than two years later, Martin was working at CNN. The New York TimesTwo media outlets that, up until two weeks ago, dismissed any criticism of Biden’s weakness as right-wing talking points and “cheap fakery.” Why didn’t he speak out? Why didn’t he tell this story? Why didn’t he do his journalism and say, “He’s not going to get the job done.” No, Democrats have been worrying about this for years.
They all knew
Everyone knew.
And they said nothing.
why?
Because this isn’t about what’s best for the country or the American people. When you talk about the corporate media, it all comes down to one thing: doing what’s best for the Democratic Party.

When concealing Biden’s mental decline and the Democrats’ concerns about that decline helped the Democrats, Jonathan Martin, Chuck Todd and all the others who knew about this “open secret” not only covered it up, but said nothing when those who told the truth were attacked by the White House and the multi-billion dollar media as liars, ageists and cheap liars.
Yes, but getting rid of Joe Biden is the best thing for the Democratic Party right now. now The truth can be told.
The media is so fractured, corrupt and bubbling that Todd and Martin are not even self-aware enough to realize that they sound like a duo of wiretapped gangsters bragging about their crimes.
