According to court documents released to the press, the lawsuit was filed on behalf of anonymous plaintiffs and alleges that in 2000, while Combs and another “unnamed celebrity” were watching at an MTV VMA afterparty, Carter He was accused of participating in the act.

The lawsuit claims that Carter “was with Combs in numerous incidents such as those described herein” and that “both perpetrators must be brought to justice.”

The lawsuit goes on to say that Mr. Combs and Mr. Carter “took turns assaulting the minor” and that “many others were present at the afterparty and did nothing to stop the assault.” he claimed.

Carter called the lawsuit an “extortion case” and “extortion campaign” to “force the payment of exorbitant amounts.”

Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who is representing the anonymous plaintiffs, addressed Carter in a statement released through Roc Nation, a company Carter founded in 2008.

“My lawyer received an attempted blackmail, called a demand letter, from a 'lawyer' named Tony Buzbee. What he was calculating about was the nature of these allegations and how they would attract public attention. If I collected it, I would want to settle. No, it was counterproductive! I wanted to expose you for your fraud in public. So, no, not a single red penny. I won’t give it to you!” Carter wrote.

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that we would like criminal charges to be filed rather than civil!! Anyone who commits such crimes against minors should be locked up. Don't you agree?'' he continued. “This lawyer I did a little research on seems to have this kind of theatrical pattern!”

Buzbee recently filed multiple lawsuits on behalf of anonymous plaintiffs fighting Combs, accusing the disgraced celebrity of rape, assault and other crimes.

Buzbee also responded to Carter's public post, insisting that his client “never asked him for a penny.” Instead, she asked only for confidential mediation. ”

Mr. Carter's statement went on to express the pain these allegations have caused his children.

“My only heartbreaking thoughts are for my family. My wife and I have to sit our children down, and one of them, her friend has definitely seen the press and heard about these allegations. Age to ask questions about nature and explain the cruelty and greed of people I also mourn the loss of innocence. No child should have to endure such an inexplicable amount of malice intended to destroy families and the human spirit. It is unfair to try to understand,” he wrote.

“My heart and support go out to the real victims around the world who have to watch their life stories co-opted for profit by these cheaply suited ambulance chasers. will be sent,” Carter added.

Additionally, Mr. Combs' legal representatives dismissed the latest lawsuit against Mr. Carter, calling it a “compensation from celebrities who fear that lies will be spread about them just as lies are being spread about Mr. Combs.” “It's a shameless publicity stunt aimed at drawing out people's interests.”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York recently declined to comment on whether the case is being investigated.
