Timberwolves vs. Lakers Preview
The final NBA game of the weekend is the Lakers head to Los Angeles to host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
These two teams are competing for playoff spots, except they are in different positions. Minnesota is in the race for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, while Los Angeles is aiming to advance in the play-in tournament.
This will be the Lakers’ first chance to beat the Timberwolves this season. Both losses to Minnesota date back to December, and this time this T-Wolves team will not play as Karl-Anthony Towns is out with a knee injury.
KAT had a decent performance in the previous two games, but Anthony Edwards led the way with 27 points in the first game and 31 points in the second. Conversely, Anthony Davis is clearly comfortable against Minnesota’s stingy defense, as he has totaled 64 points in these two games for him.
It’s also worth noting that LeBron James, who missed Friday’s game against the Bucks due to an ankle injury, did not play in the first meeting between the teams.
