Clapper Takes Precautions Amid Russian Hoax Scrutiny

Former National Intelligence Director James Clapper has initiated steps to safeguard himself in light of the increasing focus on the Russian hoax that accused President Donald Trump in 2016.

In a conversation with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Wednesday, Clapper mentioned that he had proactively taken measures. Reports emerged on Thursday regarding his actions.

When Collins inquired what he might do if faced with legal threats, he responded, “Well, I think I’ll be a lawyer. I’ll already have it,” indicating his preparedness.

An article noted that the Trump administration allegedly manipulated information and pressured Trump to claim victory, alleging Russian interference during the 2016 election.

The report indicated that in December 2016, the outgoing Obama administration was informed that “foreign enemies did not utilize cyberattacks on election infrastructure to alter the outcome of the US presidential election.” Nonetheless, they opted to construct a new intelligence assessment.

Breitbart News reported that National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard had recently made public a 46-page House Intelligence Committee report from late 2020.

The report was issued shortly after a Monday release by Gabbard’s office, which presented what it termed “overwhelming evidence” that following Trump’s 2016 election victory over Hillary Clinton, Obama and his National Security Cabinet members set the stage for a long-term coup and produced the Intelligence Report.

“This is a rebellion,” Trump remarked on Tuesday in response to Obama speaking to reporters in the Oval Office.

Furthermore, Gabbard suggested on Wednesday that Obama may be referred to the US Department of Justice for criminal investigation, although allegations arose regarding constitutional barriers faced by the prosecutor.

In light of the developments surrounding the “Russian hoax,” Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) made comments on Wednesday addressing the evidence at hand.
