Clarence Thomas’ own words torch John Oliver after he tries to bribe Thomas to retire from the Supreme Court

If Clarence Thomas’ past statements are any indication, the Supreme Court Justices are not going to heed John Oliver’s demands to “get this shit out of the Supreme Court.”

On Sunday, Mr. Oliver, who is described as a comedian, offered to pay Mr. Thomas $1 million a year and give him a new $2.4 million Prevost luxury bus if he retires from the Supreme Court.

Oliver’s uninteresting monologue repeated numerous debunking accusations and suggestions that Thomas was committing unethical acts.

“Judge Thomas, tonight we have a special offer for you. If you agree to leave the Supreme Court immediately and never return, we will give you $1 million a year for the rest of your life. , we are ready to offer.”Oliver Said on his show.

“There’s a lot to do right now, from women’s disenfranchisement to hearing the January 6 court case you should never hear about and potentially undoing decades of federal regulations,” he said. added. “You have a right to step away from the meanness of Washington and surround yourself with ordinary people whose lives you have clearly degraded for decades.”

After highlighting the characteristics of the motorcoach, Oliver suggests that Thomas relies on the opinions of his “friends,” who he says sit in front of “boardrooms,” “giant yachts,” and “Hitler’s temple.” He insisted it was about the people.

“So, here’s the offer: $1 million a year and a brand new condo on wheels,” Oliver said. “All you have to do in return is sign a contract and be released from the Supreme Court.”

After Oliver Legally questionable offer I got a virus, Thomas’ former law clerkCarrie Severino revived something Thomas said two years ago when asked about media critics.

“One of the things I say in response to the media is that when the media started talking about the way I do my job, especially early on, I said, ‘If the way I do my job is this bad, how can I do it? I’m definitely going to leave the courtroom.’ You do your own thing,” Thomas said. Said at that time.

It is unlikely that Thomas would respond directly to Oliver. But it’s safe to say that nothing has changed for Thomas.
