Memorable Moments from the MLB All-Star Game
Microphone-ing a Clayton car show for the MLB All-Star Game? That’s a brilliant idea—definitely deserving of a raise.
During the Fox broadcast on Tuesday night, Dodgers legend Clayton Kershaw produced some entertaining moments. Addressing the broadcast team, he humorously remarked, “Hold me: for a while, throwing the pitch at Lowry.”
“I try to throw some cheese really quickly,” Kershaw added, winding up for his pitch. It was amusing to see him get into the flow like that.
Meanwhile, Rory lined up a ball toward left field. It seemed destined for a hit until Kyle Tucker made an impressive diving catch, saving the day for the Carshow.
“It was sick!” Kershaw exclaimed, clearly impressed by Tucker’s catch.
After successfully retiring the first two batters over two innings, the National League pulled Kershaw from the game. He shared some high fives with his teammates and jokingly yelled at the 2025 Home Run Derby winner, “Sucking Big Damper.”
There were plenty of other hilarious moments, like when Kershaw asked former pitcher and current broadcaster John Smoltz what pitch he would prefer. Smoltz wanted a “cutter in.” “I won’t throw a cutter, Smoltz,” Kershaw replied, showing his playful side.
At one point, he even asked what the count was, marveling at how odd it felt to talk to the broadcast booth while pitching.
The NL All-Stars featured notable players like Keter Marte, who doubled to right field, along with Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuña Jr. Pete Alonso later added to the NL lead with a three-run homer, and Corbin Carroll followed up with a solo shot, making it a 6-0 game.
