Clayton Kershaw’s disappointment was palpable on Sunday after the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-5. In his outing, Kershaw gave up three runs, with only one being earned, over 4.1 innings. He hit a couple of batters before being pulled during the fifth inning. Despite the Dodgers briefly taking the lead in the fifth, the Brewers managed to tie the game and later took control.
As Kershaw walked back to the dugout, he visibly expressed his frustration, slamming his gloves and cap onto the bench. The Brewers added three more runs in the next innings, securing their win.
Kershaw was unavailable for comments after the game, which is a bit unusual for someone of his stature. He simply remarked, “I don’t do that. They beat us. We need to play better tomorrow. I don’t have much to say. I’m going to trouble myself, so let’s call it.” It seems like he’s really taking this one to heart.
Throughout the game, the Dodgers committed three errors, which didn’t help their cause. Kershaw, an eleven-time All-Star, now holds a record of 4-1 for the season and boasts a 3.27 ERA with 37 strikeouts. However, he did not participate in the All-Star Game this year.
With this loss, the Dodgers’ record sits at 58-42 as they strive for another World Series title. Meanwhile, the Brewers improved to 59-40, having swept the season series against the Dodgers.
