Climate protesters learn unforgettable lesson after dumping red powder on Constitution: ‘Determined to foment a rebellion’

Law enforcement quickly arrested two protesters Wednesday for allegedly dumping a red powder substance on an exhibit that included an actual U.S. Constitution.

At around 2:30 p.m., two protesters stormed into the U.S. Constitution exhibit at the National Archives in Washington, D.C., and threw a red powder substance at themselves and the Constitution exhibit, according to the video. The red substance likely symbolizes blood, as climate protesters believe there is a climate emergency and humanity is doomed.

“We are determined to incite an uprising,” one demonstrator said.

Within minutes, police had cleared the National Archives Rotunda, and protesters could be seen lying face down as police handcuffed them.protesters This is part of the state of emergency declaration.an advocacy group concerned about climate change.

The National Archives said in a statement, Said The physical copy of the Constitution was intact.

US archivist Dr. Colleen Shogan said the government intends to prosecute protesters “to the fullest extent of the law.”

They are here for all Americans to see and understand our nation’s principles,” Shogun said. “We take this type of vandalism very seriously and will insist that perpetrators be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

A U.S. attorney is expected to take charge of the case, WTTG-TV report. However, authorities have not yet announced what crimes the two men have been charged with.

Climate change protesters now routinely vandalize famous artworks to draw attention to their cause, and have previously destroyed, for example, the Mona Lisa and Vincent van Gogh’s famous works of art. The target was a picture of a sunflower.
